Phase Change Materials (PCMs) are substances that change their physical state (from solid to liquid or vice versa) at a certain temperature and, in doing so, absorb or release thermal energy. This property makes PCMs very useful for maintaining a constant temperature in packaging, clothing, buildings, and refrigeration systems.
